    Agar Malwa is the 51st district and a municipality in the state of Madhya   Pradesh, India, formed in 2013 byexcluding a part of Shajapur District. It is   situated alongthe Indore?Kota SH-27 highway. It was formerly a   cantonment region at the time of India's independencebecause of the   favourable weather and the availability of water.

     The District Agar-Malwa is a part of Malwa region of Madhya Pradesh. It is   situated in the western boundary of the state.It is a part of Ujjain Division. It   is a important agriculture district in State and present in Malwa Plateau agro   climatic region of Madhya Pradesh. It is situated between 230.06 and   240.19 North Latitude and 75.41 and 77.02 Longitude. It is about 453 ft   above the mean sea level. It is surrounded by Ujjain and Ratlam in the   south, Rajgarh and Shajapur in the east. The northern boundary is formed   with Jhalawar district of Rajsthan.

    The total geographical area of the District is 272578 hector. The district is   administratively divided in to two revenue Sub-Divisions. It is divided in to   four blocks which is further divided in to 227 Gram panchayats.
